DORE (G.). Autograph letter signed, illustrated with two drawings, addressed to Mme Rossini, the musician's wife. Barr, June 30, 1868 (4 p. in-4 on blue paper). Long, humorous letter, accompanied by pen-and-ink sketches. On vacation in Alsace, he is struck down by pleurisy. "I am the providence of the pharmacists, who are working diligently to grind up all the products I absorb. The city resounds day and night to the sound of their pestles... I hope to find you in perfect health, as well as your dear great master, to whom I beg you to convey the expression of my most profoundly affectionate feelings. Please tell him how much I look forward to seeing him again and laughing with him about my unfortunate journey.
