HARTFORD cup of the Grand Prix Automobile de Provence. Gilded bronze and green marble (base and sphere). It carries the motto Force/Souplesse and, on both sides, two heraldic or numerical shields R.F. Engraved on the base F. Barbedienne Fondeur. Height 92 - Width 58 - Depth 43 cm Missing an element of foliage, cockerel disbursed. The Hartford Cup was put in play for the Grand Prix de Provence held on the Miramar circuit from 1924 to 1927. The event was organized by the Automobile Club de France in 1927. François Repusseau, patron of this trophy, was director of the eponymous establishments (77 rue Danton in Levallois). A rally driver himself, he sold Hartford shock absorbers under license.
