C. crowned repeated 4 times, jasp. (Rel. anc.). FIRST FRENCH EDITION: Report of an embassy journey sent by Duke Frederick III of Schleswig-Holstein between 1633 and 1639. First vol. 27 leaves unread (54 pages; title, epistle, preface to the reader, chronological table and privilege of the king) 686 pages. Second volume. 23 numbered leaves for the title and the chronological table, 648 pages. Book decorated with 6 beautiful folding engraved maps distributed as follows: Vol. I: page 74, page 111, page 278, page 359 Vol. II: page 12, page 81. Contains the most accurate map of the mouth of the Wolga River in the 17th century. A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE, WITH THE ARMS AND CHIFTER OF J. B. COLBERT, minister of Louis XIV.
