Gr. in-8, garnet marocco, mosaic composition on spine depicting a cat standing in profile, red marocco lining decorated with a superb mosaic composition with cat's head in center, in a circle with Moulin wings, pencils surmounted by clown heads, branches and foliage of chestnut trees in bloom, garnet moire endpapers, double endpapers, gilt on witnesses, double illustrated cover and spine cons. (Ch. Meunier, 1904). ONE OF 20 EXEMPLIES PRINTED ON VELIN PAPER FROM THE MANUFACTURES OF RIVES, numbered and signed by the artist. and signed by the artist, reserved for the Société "Les XX". THE MOSAIC DECORATING THE ENTIRE LINING OF THE BOARDS IS ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE, IS TYPICAL OF THIS "BELLE ÉPOQUE" MASTER BOOKBINDER.
