COMPLETE COLLECTION of this extremely important satirical illustrated periodical, which has become very rare, especially when complete. It contains previously unpublished texts by the greatest authors of the period, mainly Alfred Jarry and Charles-Louis Philippe, Jules Renard, Octave Mirbeau, Franc-Nohain, Anatole France, Tristan Bernard, etc. The numerous black and color illustrations, most of them out-of-text or on double-page spreads, are also previously unpublished, and are by the best artists of the time: Pierre Bonnard, Capiello, Caran d'Ache, Carrière, Hermann-Paul, Iribe, Kupka, Poulbot, Roubille, Sem, Steinlen, Vallotton (important collaboration by these two artists), Ed. of these two artists), Ed. Vuillard, Willette, etc. Satirical, anticlerical, antimilitarist and libertarian weekly. Alfred Jarry was one of the most regular contributors to this magazine founded by Franc-Nohain: in addition to 30 published texts, he wrote a number of anonymous articles signed with a duck in full flight.
