ORIGINAL EDITION of this major work by the great writer. One of 150 EXEMPLIES ON HOLLAND, in a rich and sober binding signed by a master. Very fine l.a.s. dated Médan, 1885 (one 1/2 page in-8) added: "As for me, I am often tempted, and sooner or later I will give in again to the demon of battle. But do you believe that youth is really with us? There are hours when I doubt it. After each battle for the real thing, I crave oblivion and solitude, so sick am I of the cowardice of some and the stupidity of others. A FINE COPY.
