Two volumes in-4, long-grained purple half-maroq. with corners, spines decorated with ogival fleurons and gilt arabesques, untrimmed, first cover of illustrated green glossy covers preserved (Rel. of the period). First edition. The work gives a reduction of Daumier's 100 (+1) lithographs published in 1836 - 38, each accompanied by three pages of text. Copy in perfect condition, with covers illustrated with a composition by Célestin Nanteuil and dated 1839, preserved as new. VERY FINE CONTEMPORARY BINDING.
