In-18, fawn calf, 3-nerved spine decorated with 2 small pieces of red mosaic, boards decorated in gold with a central bust of a knight in armor with attributes, framed by a cold cathedral decoration, small inner dent, gilt tr. (Simier, rel. du Roi). First tiny edition printed by Didot and financed by Joaquin Maria de Ferrer. It is illustrated a portrait of the author, a wood-engraved title frontispiece, 8 hors-texte plates, a double-page map of Don Quixote's travels, all steel-engraved by Stacker (inf. foxing).
