In-12, red morocco, spine decorated with fleur-de-lys, fillets and lace framing the covers, coat of arms in the center of the covers, small inner tooth, gilt tr. (Early binding). This poem, which comprises 2 parts: Les Fontaines de Saint-Cloud and Le Théâtre des naïades, in its French and Latin versions, celebrates the château that Philippe, Duc d'Orléans, brother of Louis XIV, had just had built by Hardouin-Mansard and Mignard. The fountains adorned Le Nôtre's garden. The Poem is dedicated to the Duc d'Orléans. A precious and attractive copy, very fresh, WITH THE ARMS OF PRINCESS PALATINE, Duchess of Orléans and mother of the Regent. mother of the Regent (born in 1652 at the Château d'Heidelberg, she died at Saint-Cloud on Dec. 8, 1722).
