MAROLLES (L'abbé de). Catalog de Livres d'estampes et de figures en taille douce. A Paris, chez Léonard, 1666. - Second Catalogue. Ibid, Langlois, 1672. - Ens. 2 vol. pet. in-8 and in-12, brown calf, gilt thread, dent. and cold centerpieces, ornate spines, inner dent. gilt tr. (Romantic period binding). Reunion of these two catalogs, the oldest printed in France, the second of which, containing 163 painters' and engravers' marks, is of the greatest rarity. This important collection, acquired by Colbert, was the nucleus of the Cabinet des Estampes of the Bibliothèque Nationale. A fine copy, with the second edition revised and annotated by G. Duplessis.
