FIRST EDITION of this collection of military costumes, which has become extremely rare; it consists of 5 engraved title, warning and table pages, 4 and 170 plates (plate 140 is a different duplicate and the last erroneously numbered 169) of costumes, for a total of 175 plates. This volume is at the same time a treatise on fencing and horsemanship, the author having taken care to include in his plates the principal movements used in these two arts. A fine copy (despite slight russeting to three plates), containing all plates in very fine contemporary colors, mounted on tabs.
