Superb copy with 2 autograph corrections (pp. 45 and 71), bearing this interesting autograph letter signed on the title page: "To Théodore Hannon. Yours sincerely. This Byzantine and morbid book. J.-K. Huÿsmans". Théodore Hannon, a Belgian writer, was a friend of Huÿsmans, who wrote a preface for Rimes de Joie (with etchings by Rops).
