Gr. in-8, marbled calf, spine decorated with gold and cold thread on the boards, inner thread, lining and endpapers of moire, gilt on witnesses, cover and spine on board, case (Ch. Meunier). ISSUE OF 250 COPIES on Marais vellum. - A much sought-after work, illustrated with 41 original etchings by Auguste Lepère. - Edition offered by the publisher to M. Pierre Dauze, enriched with one of the 30 separate suites in the pure etching state, it also contains a suite of 11 refused etchings. A fine copy of this masterpiece by A. Lepère, and his first debut as an illustrator as an aquafortist.
