Henri DUPARC. MANUSCRIT MUSICAL autograph for Phidylé; 1 page and a half in-fol. in pencil. Rare first draft for Phidylé's melody. Melody for song and piano on a poem by Leconte de Lisle (excerpt from Poèmes antiques): "L'herbe est molle au sommeil sous les frais peupliers"..., composed in 1882, and published in the collection of eight Mélodies (No. 5) by Baudoux in 1894. On a 24-line sheet of paper, in pencil, Duparc sketched, after four bars crossed out, bars 22 to 38, with the indication Plus vite, with the words: " Par le clofle et le thym seuls en plein soleil Chant les abeilles volages. A warm perfume circulates at the bend in the paths; The red wheat flower bows down and the birds grazing the hillside seek the shade of the rosebushes; on the back, after two bars crossed out, bars 56 to 60 with the words: "But when the star bows down on its bright curve [aunt]". One joins the original edition of Phidylé "with orchestral accompaniment" (Baudoux, [1894], cotage E.B. et Cie 68; freckles).
