COMPLETE AND VERY RARE SET of four original etchings forming the first issue of a collection of a collection that was not continued. These four pieces are here in superb proofs on Chine fixé, with margins and mounted on tabs. M. Beraldi considered these four prints as capital in the work of the master, they are and Aristide Marie says of one of these vignettes: "The portrait is unforgettable: of all the portrait is unforgettable: of all the effigies of the young V. Hugo, this one is, if not the most exact, at least the most fascinating...".
